Family account, send invite to spouse but message says "make sure they don't already have preium"

What the heck. Both me and my partner have Premium account but now when I signed up for Family to save a buck I get message about ensurong they/she does not already have Premium.

What can I do now? I already paid and getting in touch with Spotify seems hard. Cant we join our account in the family account? We can't bevthe first to move in together right 🙂

If your partner currently has a Premium account, they need to cancel their current premium account and then wait for their account to drop to Spotify Free before they can accept the invite to your family plan.

If your partner currently has a Premium account, they need to cancel their current premium account and then wait for their account to drop to Spotify Free before they can accept the invite to your family plan.
