Gift code problem

Hello Community!

Can anyone help me with this problem I am having - I recently got a gift code from some friends but it wont work - It says that there is a country mismatch and that I must be in the same country where the person bought the gift code. The thing is I am in the same country! My account is an Irish account and I am in Germany the person bought in the code in Germany. I have tried changing the country to many different countries but nothing works. Can anyone help me???

Hello @cormac, welcome to the community!

Probably the best way to get this fixed would be to contact Spotify directly, they would be able to tell you exactly about the code you are using and apply it to your account 🙂 You can do that here, if you get a automated reply, just reply directly to that email (even if it is a no-reply).

If it is a German gift card, then the country set on your online profile needs to be Germany to redeem the card:
