How do I know student discount has applied?

I have Premium and just learned about the student discount pricing. I went through the steps to be verified by the SheerID Verification team (i was approved), and from there I was sent a link to go back and complete the sign up. The link just took my back to the subscription page but it doesnt say anything about accepting the discount. I understand that it wont apply until the next subscription renewal, which is this August for me.  How can I verify that the discount was accepted and will be applied?

It will show the reduced price on your renewal information here:
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

If you already had an active subscription, you need to cancel it following the steps here:
https://support.spotify.com/learn-more/faq/#!/article/How-to-cancel-your-subscription

Then re-subscribe using the student discount link to get your discounted rate (you can't apply it to an already existing subscription).
