Password reset

When I first signed up for Spotify I used my Facebook, I have tried to change my password, but it wont work because when I originally sign  in I push log in with Facebook so how can I change my password if I use Facebook to log in? I do not want to change my Facebook password just my Spotify password, but how can I do so? I have tried just normally changing the password and at the end when it says 'To change password or update your email address you need to confirm by entering your current password below.' and I put in my Facebook password which is the same password I use for Spotify, because I log in with Facebook. I hope that didn't sound confusing, I just really need help.

What username is shown on this page of your online account?
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

If the username is not a number, then your account wasn't created via Facebook so you must have a separate password you chose when you registered.

If that is the case, to get a password reset:
1. Go to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/
2. If you get redirected to your online profile (where you need to current password to make the change), you are still logged into the website. Click on your name at the top and choose Log Out.
3. Return to https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/ and you should be able to request a reset.
