Student Discount and Gift card

Is it possible to use a gift card in conjuction with the student discount so that for a £10 giftcard i can get two months of premium? Thanks!

Unfortunately not, the 50% student discount is only applicable when you pay via rolling monthly payments via a credit/debit card or paypal.

What a rip off! I bought four $10 gift cards and when I applied to my account they only count for one month each, when in fact my student rate in the US is $5.40 a-month. They should count for seven months and change!

This does not only mean that I am losing $4.60 x 4 but that Spotify is pocketing that money leaving a very sour taste in my active-social-media mouth!

Not only a steal but a depreciation of the brand in the student's mind: the future $10 premium consumer. There is plenty of competition.
