Vizio Smart TV - Spotify Issue Logging In

Hey Spotify Users,

 

I am currently having issues trying to log on to the Spotify Application on the Vizio M Series Smart TV. I am putting in the passwords as well as activation codes since I use Facebook as an entry, with no avail. Would anyone know how to get passed this issue?

If you normally log in with Facebook, you probably need to retrieve your "real" Spotify details. 

 

Set a special device password here:

http://www.spotify.com/login/?forward_url=/account/set-device-password/

 

Then log in using that password and your numerical username shown on your online overview:

https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

Which model are you using? According to this chart, spotify is only available on the M322i-B1, unless I'm reading it wrong.

I just noticed that certain symbols are not shown on the apps on screen keyboard. One of the symbols I need in order to sign is ~ and while I can easily access it via my vizio remote, there is no option to select it so it just remains blank. Mind updating the app to address these symbol issues?

Apologies for replying in an old post, but I have just tried logging in using my numeric username and device password and I am still getting the same error. I am 100% sure I am entering everything correctly. Any ideas?

Easiest option is to change your password or username. You could also try to reset to default settings. I don't remember how I solved my issue but I think I just changed the password. If you sign into spotify via facebook then you need to use your spotfiy details as posted above somewhere

Spotify says they sent a link to my email to set up my password to my numerical user name but I'm not getting any email.

Not solved. I have the same issue as another user on this forum. It says it sends an email with the new password to the appropriate email address but it never shows up...

I also have the issue of the email never arriving. Guess I won't be using Spotify after all.

I tried it again after all these months, and still am not getting a password email, and yes I have looked in the junk folder. Is there an answer to this?
