What music are you worried about?

Spotify has three different services: Free, Unlimited and Premium. Spotify Free lets you listen to music, but you have to listen to advertisements as well. After six months of use, you get a time limit of 10 hours per month. If you're in the UK or France, there will be an extra limit of 5 plays per track. Spotify Unlimited removes advertisements and time limits. Spotify Premium (this is what your 48 hour trial is) gives you Unlimited and extra features like high quality music, offline playlists and mobile app access.

Your 48 hour trial is for Spotify Premium, and when it ends, you return back to Spotify Free and can still listen to music with advertisements. You don't lose anything, except that you get the time limit after six months from your first login.

That means yes then. I can keep all my music

Hey,

Spotify Premium is a way you rent music. Offline playlists will be removed when Premium ends. So if you want to keep Offline playlists, you should pay for service monthly. However if you do not want to pay (whatever the reason is; no money, no need, too expensive...) you can still use Spotify's Free service without any charges.

Cheers.

And yes, if you buy some music as .mp3 from Spotify and Cancel your Premium, you can of course keep those .mp3 files.

Also keep in mind that you can use Spotify Unlimited, if Premium has too much features or is too expensive.

Good summer for you. Keep listening good music from Spotify!

Hottest single this month:

Sorry to sound like a Newby, its because I am and want to see what Spotify is all about before I buy/ subscribe.

So to get this straight,

I get Premium and create loads of Offline Playlists. But if i get rid of Premium then they go away too? Do I get to keep the playlists with Unlimited, or is it only Premium?

And if I get a load of Playlists/ Albums I really like and cannot afford either Premium or Unlimited, then I can buy them as mp3 or similar and download. I assume? Can I buy them through Spotify?

Cheers

If your premium expires, your playlists will not go away but you can't listen to them offline any more. Playlists will always be stored in your account and it doesn't matter if you're free, unlimited or premium.

Spotify has a download store, but it's not available in the US, Germany, New Zealand or Australia. If you are living somewhere else, you can buy download credits which lets you download songs as normal MP3 files.

Hey I'm confused. If I want spotify prememium to use on my ipod to listen to all my playlists on my computer do I need to buy each song or do I get unlimited offline songs?

First of all it has to be an ipod Touch, so you can run the Spotify app on it. You can have max. 3.333 songs synced for offline use on your ipod touch.

If it's not a Touch but nano or classic, you can only sync local files on it (the tracks that you have bought).

I'm not an apple specialist, so best might be to read those ipod FAQs.

Hope that helps you!

thank u4 answering that question!! I think spotify is awesome, and I was worried that it would lose it completely! I just discovered spotify and it rocks!!! From, mysinislove.

"Six months and then only ten hours per month". I see what they did. They let you listen to as much free music as you want until you're hooked. After six months, you're so used to the product, you can't live without it. That's when they start placing limits and you will then need to upgrade...clever

And for £/$5 unlimited is a real bargain! 😉
