Blank Screen Galaxy S4 - ATT

Hi Just got the new galaxy S4 - everytime I login I see my lists for less than a bit of a second - then the screen is blank and the app is unresponsive - I followed the troubleshooting instuctions available on the site - still with the same issue

 

What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?

(We need to know what you are doing so we can do the exact same to try and get the same error)

1. Downloaded the foftware

2. Login using spotiy account (not facebook)

3. I could see the lists briefly

4. then blank screen

 

What I expected to happen

I expect to be able to navigate my music

 

Did you restart your device when troubleshooting in section B?

Yes

 

Did you read the connection troubleshooting tips?

Yes

(FYI for the below points: Android devices tend to refer to the internal memory as "SD Card" and the SD card you inserted yourself as "External SD Card")

Yes

 

If you said "No", when does the issue not occur?

NA

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

Unfortunately, this sounds like a bug which which a mod has posted about here. [corrected link; somehow I managed to link to an image of my profile picture!]

Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Still NOT working after the update (~ 1 hr ago).

another update - still NOT working

This may sound bizarre but can you try turning off 4G and seeing if that makes any difference please?

S4, 8 Gig available. White screen after 2 seconds. No menu. 4Glte, wifi doesn't matter.

Do you have task killing apps? 

If so, try using it to kill Spotify and then see if it will launch normally again.

Sorry I did not post my personal solution before, seem the app was stuck at facebook login page

I installed an older version of the app from m.spotify.com after I deleted old data, logged in using my premium credentials then when prompted to link the account to facbook I DID then I disabled this feature from facebook - after finishing the steps above I upgraded- now it is working

just uninstall spotify and install this.

Its a awesome quick fix for this problem.

You can use spotify without any problems, no bugs or any white screen and stuff like that.
