Re: [ANNOUNCE]: New experimental preview 'Apps' Spotify Linux

Since last update to Spotify Linux I can't use it because I can't accept the license after the content is loaded.

Here you see that not accept or decline buttons are shown, as they dissapear as soon as the license text are loaded.

Screenshot

Trying to resize the license dialog only leads to corruption in the window:

I hope you are able to fix this issue soon. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem, I can't accept the license, since the buttons disappear after loading.

Following the instructions gives some errors

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install spotify-client-qt

Re: [ANNOUNCE]: New experimental preview 'Apps' Spotify Linux

In version 0.8.2.637 there is no spotify icon in the system tray. This was not the case for 0.8.2.572 release.

Re: [ANNOUNCE]: New experimental preview 'Apps' Spotify Linux

After upgrading to 0.8.2.637 I can no longer play local files, I can't share to facebook, twitter and so on, and there's no automatic posting to facebook. It also sometimes stops playing after a song even spotify is set on random play.

Re: [ANNOUNCE]: New experimental preview 'Apps' Spotify Linux

I too was unable to accept the license due to the buttons disappearing. So i set the spotify login window to "always on top" and then logged in. As usual i got the spotify window plus the license window without buttons. I tried to access my playlists, and this time the text in the license window changed and the buttons appeared. Seems to work fine now.

With the new beta, I can't play local files.

I have no problems with streaming, apps or anything else. I doesn't use Facebook, Twitter or anything else.

You should try to install spotify-client ;) The install pages aren't updated.

Re: [ANNOUNCE]: New experimental preview 'Apps' Spotify Linux

Seems that this doesn't always work, I just tried it and the licence dialogue (without buttons) was still at the top with no way to prod anything underneath it to trigger the workaround.

This on Kubuntu Oneric.

[ Edited ]

This morning it suddenly worked, the buttons were displayed. What I did was:

- uninstalling the new release with apt-get remove spotify-client

- installing the old spotify release with dpkg -i

- go to sleep

- booting up and dooing a apt-get dist-upgrade, which updated spotify

- i could hit the button

not sure if this works for anyone else tho ;-)
