Nice, @Isolis. Let's hope David will revert his decission to erroneously mark AirPlay in the desktop version of Spotify as implemented!

In fact, you don't have to deal with Airplay in Spotify. It's just a mater of chossing available audio devices. Audacity for exemple let people choose the input and output audio device from the interface. If Airplay is handle as an audio interface from the OS, as it is the case in 10.8, you just have to select it.

I'm having an issue with Spotify/Airfoil/and my iHome iw1.... whenever I try to adjust the volume from my iW1 spotify turns the volume all the way down to zero. This doesn't happen using iTunes or any other app through Airfoil from this device.

Gomez.  What we are trying to do is play the audio on all airplay devices at the same time.  You know, "Multiple" speakers.  This cannot be done all over the house with spotify.   Please share with us how your "share" over all of your devices without lag.

FWIW, a new update to Airfoil came out the other day that addressed my volume problems, so it was Airfoil's communication with my IW1 and not Spotify that was the problem! :)

Isolis, Can you help with an "easy" solution for this?  Will this play on both my imac "and" my airport expresses?

I'm new to mac and not sure what to do with all that code.

I'm sorry but that homepage was just to show how developers can incorporate airplay into their app, something the spotify developers seems to lack the skill to do......

Go check out airfoil I think it will do what you want.

Hi 'Limborocks'. Streaming to multiple AirPlay speakers/devices/AE's/Apple TV's is indeed not supported in OSX nor iOS. Give Porthole a try (http://getporthole.com) this app does stream to multiple devices at the same time and has an easy hot-key panel for easy control of multiple speakers.

Porthole doesn't allow you to play your headphone jack AND another airplay device.

hi there, just download porthole... terrible result. Streaming music to a Pioneer VSX 52... lot of delay echo and the volume it lower than the volume on the Mac. Any idea how to fix it?

By the way Mountain Lion does not solve the issue of using airplay on MAC older that 2011!!!!!!! Can't believe it. 

I think that Spotify developers should simply solve the issue by introducing the feature... looking forward to it!!!! So far I have wasted money and still no music streamed... sob sob... sooooooo sad!
