I've tried removing it from my exceptions, unistalling, restarting computer, re-installing multiple times. Still didn't work.

Hey Clad, welcome to the Community.
Which version of WIndows are you running? In addition to what you've already tried I would recommend running Spotify as an administrator or running it in compatibility mode. Let me know if you need help with this.
However, error 101 is really a connection error, so it's more likely an issue with the internet connection somewhere.

I'm running Windows XP and I've tried refreshing my internet connection and still nothing.

Clad, what kind of internet connection have you got? Any kind of proxies or unusual router setups? And which antivirus are you running?
It might also be worth logging into your account over a different connection, or with a different account over the same connection. This will help us figure out where the problem is.

Richard, I have been having the same Error 101 issue with my Spotify as all the others. Spotify was on and playing at the end of March while I was in another room. It suddenly stopped, and my computer shut down and restarted. I've not been able to use Spotify ever since. My sister living 40 miles south of me says the same thing happened to her (though she can still use Spotify on her laptop), and we believe it happened at about the same time. Any progress on determining the cause and how to correct it? Thank you.

madewithginger - did this correspond to any of the service outages reported on our Twitter feed? Check the link in my sig.
CobraHawking - sorry to hear that, what have you tried so far?

Richard - Thanks for your reply. The Twitter feed specifically mentioned Error 404, and even though it didn't specifically mention 101 I felt like it alluded to it when it was saying 'We hear you, we're still working on it.' But the last entry from April 26th says everyone should have service and I still don't . Still getting the Error 101 Firewall message. I will ask around with some of the others on here who said they have the same problem..

Clad - Any luck on your end yet? I'm still struggling too..

madewithginger - have you tried all the usual troubleshooting for this? You can find this all here.
From what you're saying it doesn't seem to be due to any problems on our end, so we'll need to try and figure out where the problem lies ourselves.
