Gapless playback w/ local files

The new gapless playback feature doesn't appear to work with local files.  Is there a reason for that?  Thanks.

I noticed this too. Is it a bug?

Just now only Crossfade is available for Local files.

I use Huawei Ascend P1 with 2M mobile 3G network & Acer Aspire V3 with 100M mobile 4G network. Spotify Free user April 2009 - November 2010 and Spotify Premium user December 2010 - for now. I am Community veteran until the end. If you find my post very helpful, please add your kudos - thanks!

Well that's kind of crap. Gapless is necessary for a lot of the albums I listen to - is there any plan to fix this? It makes me not want to use Spotify for my local files. If I can't do that, then I might as well not use Spotify...
