That's not a solution at all. I am not planning to create a Facebook account, connect it to Spotify, then remove it again and delete the Facebook account.

Now, whatever the hell is going on with Spotify suddenly, can you please fix it? I'm getting this annoying red bar popping up randomly too.

Also, I replied to this thread under Windows. But I'm a Linux user. In case that is relevant.

And no, i will not try to connect and then disconnect again because i have a feeling that the same problem will reappear the next time i change password on FB.

Jimi, I've given the disconnect a go, let me know if it helps.

From what I can tell though this usually helps with the 'Spotify Loves Social' popup, rather than the 'failed to enable spotify social' red bar, which is a different problem.

Hi Douglasd- I've just taken a look and your "douglasduncan1" account isn't linked to Facebook. 

Are you still receiving that error message?

OK so I guess you can add my name to this list. 

I get the red 'Failed to enable Spotify social' bar on mine...  Contacted support, (case# 375017) They tried to help but nothing really got resolved. I used my Facebook login a few times and decided I wanted to keep them seperate (FB & Spotify).

Can you disconnect my acount from FB on your end??
