I'd like to disable or hide the tray icon from the tray. How can I do it?
I am running Spotify on a separate workspace and it's never minimized, so the tray icon only wastes space. I don't want to hide or remove my tray completelty, I just want to hide Spotify from it.
Thanks for your help.

This should be a function of your system tray widget.
In KDE right click on the tray, select "System Tray Settings", then "Entries". Find the entry for Spotify in the list that's shown, and select "Hidden" as it's visibility.
I'm sure there's something equivalent in your desktop manager of choice.

Actually, system tray icons should be managed by the applications, not by the window manager. Any fucntionality on window manager is just an extra feature that shouldn't be needed in the first place anyway.
So regardless of the fact that some window managers are able to hide individual tray icons, Spotify should have an option for this.

And also, I would like Spotify to completely terminate when I press Alt + F4 (or anything similar).
