Where is the **bleep** "play" button?? How do I listen to music?

Find something you want to listen to and there are various ways to get it playing. Easiest is to double click - that will start with the song you clicked and continue down the list of whatever is shown on that page. Other option is to right click individual tracks/albums and choose Add to Queue and then go and view the Queue and click to play from the top. Alternatively you can start playing the Radio or any one of the Apps using the controls in them.

Let's back up...I can't find any music on the website and there is no place to type anything in. There is a banner running across the top of the page so I can't enter anything there.  Funny, when I went on the site a few weeks ago I found Krishna Das's albums and played them but now I am clueless. Where am I suppoed to find something I want to play?

Sounds like you might be mixing up websites.

Spotify doesn't have a web-based player -- you can't search their music catalog or play anything back directly from the website. You'll need to download the Spotify desktop client first.

Hit "Get Spotify" in the menu bar at the top, select a subscription or go for the Free option, then download and install the desktop client from next page. You will need to register an account to log into and use the client (which requires a Facebook account). But once you're registered and logged into the client, the rest should be self-explanatory. :)

Really? I would not expect that I would have to do a search to find out that I need to click on the "Get Spotify" to get started... Especially after I already downloaded and installed the program... So I thought... My suggestion would be to change "Get Spotify" to "Get Started"  to include some basic instructions along with choices to make. That's just my 30 + years of instructional development kicking in.

I'm having the same problem.  I've downloaded the program (twice!) but when I log in the client doesn't come up and I can't find it.  It did come up once but I could never play anything because spotify crashed.
