Help - Desktop (Linux, Mac and Windows)

Hi,

My spotify is showing the local music files from itunes, but when I want to play anyone of them, it simply does not play them at all.  I have already re-imported the files, but still not working.  What can I do?

They are from itunes, so I guess they are MPEG4 audio files.

Supported files:

• .mp3, .mp4, .m4a and .m4r files are supported.
• .m4p is supported, but these files are usually protected by iTunes. Spotify can’t play them, but will try to match them against the corresponding Spotify track.
• .m4v, .3gp, .3g2 and .mov files will be imported, but will only be playable if they were originally exported as audio files.

Thanks for your answer.  

Most (might be all) of the files are .m4a, still they don't sound when I try to play it in spotify.  They work fine in itunes.

For .m4a files, try (re)installing Quicktime - http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
