I have the same version... I restarted Spotify to check, and it's not working, still keeps freezing :(

Well congratulations Spotify. I just cancelled my subscription.
You can't even listen to your users and you just make your software more crappy for each update. Want to send someone a song? Well, first you gotta either get a Facebook-, Twitter- or Tumblr account. What happened to just typing in their username and sending the song? That's too easy?
Artwork freezes, shuffle and repeat buttons don't work, Growl doesn't work.. and what do you do? Nothing. It's been almost 3 months since magnussolaas started this thread and nothing has happened yet. Not a single thing.
I'm glad I don't work at Spotify, because I wouldn't be able to live with the embarrassment.

This is still an option:

We're really sorry that this is taking longer then expected to resolve. I assure you it's being worked on as a priority.
And we do monitor this thread every day, so don't think we've forgotten about you. As soon as we've got an update we'll be right here to let you know.

Yeah, If I have them in my people list, which only works if I have a Facebook account.

Wow, if this is how "priority" work is resolved, i'd hate to see how their lower priority business is handled!!???

I've cancelled my Premium, on Unlimited now. If they dont sort this out I'm cancelling next month.

You can add people to your 'People' list quite easily without having to join Facebook.
Ask your friend for his or her username (if they joined through Facebook it will be a 10-digit number). Your friends can find their usernames by signing into their profile page.
From there just enter "spotify:user:USERNAME" into the search bar. When you see your friend's profile just select " +Add" in the top yellow bar.

That's great, Meredith. I learned how to add Spotify users without Facebook! Now, if only there was a way to get the play/pause/shuffle buttons and apps to work. Is there a trick to get those working too? Remember, that is the main topic of this thread for 3 months.

yeah it would be nice if some time this year the "now playing" artwork would actually show what's playing.
