Cancelled. I read that "Spotify Premium users have the highest support priority!", so guess that's why they haven't answered me at all...

I've just cancelled my subscription too.

When I run Spotify, it doesn't update the song title on the bottom left to match what's actually playing. Both the song title and the album title are essentially frozen. However, when I click the title, it take me to the correct song in the playlist, but this essentially means that I can't see what's playing. 

I'm using the newest version of Spotify on the Mac (OS 10.5.8). When I play the same Spotify account on a PC, I don't have this problem.

Yeah I've been having the same problems for a few weeks now.. really ridiculous that it is also freezing up and crashing all the time.

Playback (on 10.5.8) seems more stable today but the artwork icon is still a PJ Harvey track I played just before shutting down last night ...

omg, i got an answer from the spotify support......

they say i have to do this on my mac (OS X 10.5.8) :

"  can I please ask you to to do the following in order to fix this;

1. Quit Spotify
2. In the finder, locate and delete the following folders:
~/Library/Caches/com.spotify.Client
~/Library/Application Support/Spotify
3. Locate and delete the Spotify app (from the application folder)
4. Empty trash, then restart
5. Download and install our latest preview version - this should have fixed the issue for you, you can get it at the following url;

http://download.spotify.com/preview/spotify-app-0.8.2.527.g48d079d8.dmg  "

I'm not very good at computers and it will probably take weeks to get a new answer from the support, so i ask you guys here (customers): where in the Finder are those folders he asks me to delete? Sounds a bit worrying deleting something that has the name 'library' :-s... Or did he just tell me, in a complicated way, to delete the spotify program? (to reinstall the new version). 

My other question is: will reinstalling solve the problem?

cookie, no, it won't solve the problem. I just took all the steps detailed in your email from support and there was no change.

They are also giving out the link to an outdated preview version that won't allow you to log in without updating (wtf)

I will answer my latest post myself:

1. Deleted Spotify, reinstalled it via the link sent from spotify support.

2. Did it solve the problem? No, it didn't. It's exactly like before. Artwork/artist/track shows only the first one i play, shuffle button not getting green when i click on it + can't use the play/pause buttons now and then (getting grey).

well thanks very much spotify, for taking my time to do something totally useless that you told me would 'fix' the problem.

SPOTIFY, WHAT'S GOING ON? CAN YOU GET SOME PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE WHO CAN FIX THIS? HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT IS BROKEN???

Hey guys,

I cancelled my account long ago, but I still keep checking the community boards in hopes that Spotify finally decides to give a crap about paying Leopard users. If you missed my post a couple pages back, Spotify also told me via customer service that the problem was fixed and we only have to delete our cache/reinstall. This is obviously NOT true at all, and they aren't following-up on our responses that this isn't a solution.

I urge you all to cancel your subscriptions if not already done so, as well as keep posting on this community board and bombarding customer service with complaints. The only way to get this fixed is to continue to keep the volume up. Good luck.

The older version IanGuide posted no longer works. I get offline errors and nothing loads until it forces itself to quit and installs the update. so much for it "working" again.
