Hello, Everyone!
I too am having issues with Spotify freezing after recently updating (and redownloading). I just sent a message out to the Spotifians explaining my/our general problem. I even threatened to go back to my old free music service, though it ain't as cool as this here is! ....well minus the problem of course!!!!! :-) :smileyhappy:

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update--we're aware this issue is affecting some users. I assure you we're busy looking into why tracks are freezing and/or stuttering for you.
In the meantime, any other information you could provide (OS/ Spotify version etc.) would be quite helpful.
I also recommend making sure you've installed our latest release which went out last week.

Today I received an e-mail from Spotify Support,, and they provided me with a link where I could download the latest Spotify.
I was very hopefull and installed it right away...unfortunately it didn't solve the problem and after playing a couple of tracks, it froze again during a song.
Again, not be able to end it via the taskmanager, and had to reboot again.
I realy hope it's gonna be solved in the near future....
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)
Spotify: spotify_installer-0.8.2.527.g48d079d8.exe

We are still having the same old issues, that have been plagueing us for the last month or two. We have uninstalled and reinstalled more times than I can remember. A real shame as this service has worked well for us in the past. I hope they can sort it out, rather than drag it out. I think we will look at other alternatives if it isn't solved by our expiry date next month.

Go to Control Panel and uninstall Spotify then google Spotify and log in and download Spotify which will be the old version which works perfectly well! The problem is that when the program is closed or the computwer turned off the upgrade will automatically download and instal!

You can unofficially block the update by following the steps here.
