Spotify songs buffering very slow

Hello everyone,

Since a couple of days I'm having trouble with all music on spotify on my win7 x64 desktop PC. The songs I listen are constantly stopping because it seems like it's buffering. Can't be my internet speed because I got 50Mbit download.

I got premium but my playlists are not synced because I use more than 3 devices at the same time (that's true, but why can't i use more than 3?)

Main problem is the buffering. I don't think other applications are blocking spotify from buffering/downloading stream.

Thanks

I have the same problem (120Mbit internet). It's very annoying, because I have to play local music now and that defeats the whole idea behind Spotify.

I'm located in the Netherlands.

I've been having the same issue over the last few days. I'm on 100MB broadband in the UK, and if this keeps up much longer I'll cancel my premium membership.

Yup same problem with me - 20mbit virgin broadband, no firewall issues etc.... Tried deleting all folders in cache, and uninstalled/reinstalled but no improvement. Spotify works fine on my work PC thought which seems strange.

Hi!

Have any of you tried enabling / disabling the Hardware Acceleration in Spotify Preferences and then Logging out & in and checking if it helps out?.

Same problem here in uk and on all devices (pc/android clients)

Very annoying and as others say if it continues not worth renewing subs.

Hello there,

I believe this thread may be related, although it's on iOS devices.

Can you tell me which ISP you use?

Re: Spotify songs buffering very slow

I'm with Virgin Media (20meg), and from looking at the other thread a lot of other people with Virgin seem to have the same problem, and it seems to be suggested that it could be a problem to do with that (although this problem appears not to be exclusive to VM customers)

Nice to see it's not just me. I was coming here to report this too!. I have 100Mbps and I get the same. usually my songs are downloaded within the first 3 seconds when I start one. ( according to my BW meter) I have 6 months free with VM but i've been with spotify for a few years now

It's our ISP ( Virgin Media) because it does not do this through a VPN nor through my mobile provider which is 3UK
