I am using Spotify on a Mac. Spotify will allow me to play a whole album if I click on the individual tracks, but not as a whole. This means when I share my listening with facebook, it comes up a list of tracks not as me listening to a whole album. Also, I am unable to star a whole album, I have to star each track which then show up in random order in my starred playlist.
I seem to have neither of these problems when using Spotify on my Android phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.

...i'm having the same issue... one day i signed into Spotify and the "Ricky Martin" album i had been previous listening a song from came up immediately and when i clicked "PLAY" the whole album played ... but i guess i had the "SHUFFLE" feature on so it started playing any songs in that "SEARCH" rather than the actual album perhaps... hope this answers your questions... oh and UH! RICKY MARTIN MOVES MY SOUL!! <3

I subscribe, I have the album in the Q, the playlist, everywhere and it still won't play whole album. It plays one song then flips back to some other album. Making me consider not subscribing... Is there a way to make this work?

It sounds like the playqueue bug. Check your playqueue (sidebar). If there are grey songs in it you have to clear it.
Easiest way is to press fast on "next song" button (without repeat function). After the queue is clean you should be fine again and enjoy the whole album again! ;)

I have this problem and I don't have anything in my play queue.
In fact, the problem only exist in version 0.8.8.295. If I install version 0.8.5.1333 the problem goes away. But then, of course, this evil, buggy, god awful software virtually immediately updates itself and then I have the problem again.
BTW...you talk like this "bug" (as you call it) has been around for a long time.
Are this company's developers just completely incapable of fixing the most rudimentary bugs or what??

Hmm that's weird, normally the playqueue was the problem when the 2nd song was random.
Anyways, I call it a "bug", although officially it is just a feature of the playqueue.
Problem is, most users don't know that and sometimes have never even clicked on Playqueue before.
If you right click an album and chose "Queue" it shows yellow in your playqueue. It doesn't get deleted like usual if you select another artist/album/playlist etc. Also not if you close Spotify and restart it again. Again, most users don't know that and are simple just confused about it. You have to delete it manually (right click each song) or just clear the queue by clicking fast next song.
There is another playqueue problem that might earn the title "bug" more. Haven't quite found out what exactly causes it.
But sometimes when you play search results or playlists from an online link it can happen that the songs appear grey in the playqueue. When this happens you can't even delete them anymore with right click, so fast forward is the best solution.
A button to clear the queue would be nice.

Thanks for that Premify.....most of it has nothing to do with my problem (I ultimately don't care whether it's a bug...it doesn't work like it used to..that's for sure)..but thanks anyway.
Since no one here seems to have any contribution to this, and support has not responded to me....it strongly appears that this company doesn't want any more of my business (or, more accurately, is completely unwilling to earn it).
