recently my spotify will just NOT work! it keeps losing connection and saying connection lost- error code 114> at first i clicked on the error code which redirected me to spotify telling me to remove spotify from exceptions on firewall, reinstall spotify then add to exceptions. Ive done this 3 times now and the problem keeps on happening!!!!!!!!!!!!! I contacted 'spotify help' and they just told me the same thing as spotify FAQ which i have done 3 times now and nothing seems to work. i pay £9.99 a month for spotify and i cant listen to one song! ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!! thanks!!

I experience the same problem.
Have just downloaded Spotify, but I wont work properply. All I get is the error code 114 - the FAQ doesn't help, have tried to add exceptions in Symantec Endpoint Protection to no avail.

I have just started having the same problem. My Internet connection is working fine, and I have not had this problem before. It says the connection drops, then reconnects, then drops again. 30 seconds fine, 30 seconds nothing, 30 seconds fine again, 30 seconds sucks again. I made the correct decision to avoid paying for this service and just putting up with the commercials with the free version. I don't need this headache just trying to listen to some music. When people ask me about Spotify my advice will be to make sure they don't spend any cash on it.

Has anyone come up with a solution that works?
If you are experiencing Error 114 and you are sure that your firewall or other software is not blocking Spotify (double check the connection troubleshooting guide), then you might be experiencing a known issue, which is outlined in this topic.

i solved the problem on my way:
download an older Version (0.8.2...) from here:
version 0.9.... delete
reinstall version 0.8.2....
and all is happy :-))
tell me, if you are lucky...
