I am using the premium version, playing a library that is downloaded to my computer. When playing a playlist, spotify very frequently stops at the start of a new song. There does not seem to be a pattern as to which songs cause this, but it will consistently happen on a track that causes the issue once, and others seem to be fine.
If I manually skip to the song, it plays fine. The issue occurs only when it come up after another song completes. Problem persists whether gapless playback is enabled or not. I hope there is a solution out there because this totally prevents me from using spotify unless I manually advance almost every track. Thanks in advance
edit: to clarify, I am posting this as a new thread because it happens with local/downloaded files and not when streaming, as several other seem to have issues with.

same here. only for local files and it's getting annoying that I have to open itunes to listen to local only files - what's worse is that spotify don't appear to be adressing the issue.

Same here on Windows 7 64-bit.
I am really annoyed by this issue, as most of my songs are local.
When a local song ends and a new one is supposed to start, it just stops and I have to play a different track and THEN go back tho the previous track to make it play.

Definitely not the only one then, I've uninstalled and reinstalled spotify, updated and uninstalled and reinstalled quick time, rebooted my local files, converted them but nothing works

I am having this problem with LOCAL files as well. If I hit next it will play or if I click on another song and then back on the one that wouldn't start it will play. Really annoying as I have some artist in my local files that are not available on Spotify.
