spotify won't play after removing headset

spotify won't play after removing headset

After I remove my USB headset spotify won't play music until I restart it.

For example, I play a song over my speakers and plug in my headset. The music automaticaly will start playing on the headset.

However after I remove the headset the musics stops and spotify will show a message that there is a problem with my soundcard.

Then when i close the program and restart it, it wil play without any problem.

When I don't restart it and test my sound with any other program music will play without any problem. When i go to my sound settings it doesn't matter what i do i have to restart spotify to let it play music again.

I have Windows 8.1.

Hi. There's a known issue with spotify not coping with changes to the audio output while it's running. It still tries to output to the original output and restarting is the only way around this.

Same problem on MAC. If I start Spotify with headset plugged in, works great of course. But if I unplug and plug it in again, it stops working. Have to restart spotify

doesn't have to be USB headset. does same with analog headphones. Annoying.
