Updated to ios 8 today and Spotify crashes every time when trying to open. I have the latest version of Spotify as well. I have also reset my phone on top of deleting and reinstalling the app. Just wanted to put this up to get the issue noticed.

Hello everyone,
I got an answer to this problem earlier recommending to change the language of the telephone and then change it back to the original one . When I did it it to work and I was able to open the app. Nevertheless it is not a permanent solution because now, for some reason, I am not able to open it again. I haven't restarted the phone or turned it off so I don't know why it's not working now. But is clear that the solution is only temporary. Please Spotify continue investigating to solve the problem.

Thanks!

Might try to reinstall later. But that means have to download all offline songs again!!!

Well, my app is being really retarded and I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. It started after I had gotten the new update for Iphone, the ios8.0. I dont know what it did but the app wont even so much as load. And when it finally does it automatically closes up. Ive tried restarting the app and reinstalling it but im not sure what else to do.
Ive already backed up my phone, but its still not working properly.

It could be a bug of some sort. At least, thats what Im hoping.

The update for spotify right now isn't compatible with ios8. Is there a way to fix this or a new update by any chance ? I love spotify but if it doesn't work anymore I'm Afraid I'll have to delete the account completely .

My spotify wont open on my iphone ever since i have download the new ios 8. i have tried turning my phone on and off, deleting the app turning my phone on and back on and then dowloading it again. it wont even go to where i can sign in, it just opens and has the black screen with the spotify logo for about 5-10 seconds and then goes back to my home screen. Spotify is my life, i use it literally all the time, and i hate how its not working and i really dont want to have to stop using it- so please any help would be awesome

Same problem here, I did the update and when the app try's to open it doesn't load and takes me back to the home screen. I've done everything, I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, I logged off from all accounts and the problem persists. I downloaded the app on another iPhone 6 and everything works great. It even works fine on my iPad. Spotify needs to figure out what's the issue and fix it. A lot of people are having this problem

After updating to the update for ios8 it close after some seconds from open my app.
I will delete my premium account if that's not fix it soon
Thanks

I updated to iOS last week and have the same exact issue. I pay for premium so I can listen to it offline during my subway commute, but the app hasn't being launching at all for me this past week. Is Spotify aware of this issue and is there a fix for it?

I've tried reinstalling, rebooting phone, hard reboot. Nothing has worked since I updated to ips8. I start it and it crashes.

I have the same problem tried every solution i found on this website and also contacted apple support nothing work! spotify make an updated app!

Ever since I updated to IOS 8 my spotify just shows the opening screen. I'm getting frustrated that I can't use it at all

Heck I think you owe us a refund if this isn't fixed soon

How can I stop my Spotify app from crashing and ruining my musical adventures? 😞

the same on my iphone..!

Try deleting app and reinstalling... this dumps any data the app has generated/cached that it might have corrupted and gives it a fresh start. That worked for a couple of other apps that I found to be apparently allergic to iOS 8 when their vendors had said they were iOS 8 compatible.
