Welcome to October everyone. And to the 23rd Spotify Ideas Review.
Every month the Community Team reviews our Ideas Board and present the ones we’ve updated in the past 30 days.
We've been busy updating numerous ideas this September that needed a status change.
This week Canada become the fifty-eighth member of the Spotify family. From Vancouver to Montreal to St. John’s and everywhere in between, fans have immediate access to over 20 million songs at your fingertips.
And a special occasion deserves a special playlist, O Canada!
We're really pleased to announce that we've now implemented this in the UK and Germany. If you'd like to find out more, just click here.
Now you can see all public playlists on Spotify Profile pages. You can now continue to scroll down to see all playlists. Thanks for your feedback on this everyone!
Earlier this year, we decided to take this idea under consideration. However, it became clear from the feedback that we needed this as a setting since some seemed to prefer the minimize option so we started work to make this happen.
We want to do this but implementation is more complicated than simply coding the setting. We hope to have an update soon.
We want your feedback!
We also want to give a massive shout to our Idea guardians @Marco, @blake @Fred @Jordi @pnc for their help in the Ideas board. If you're interested in becoming an Ideas Guardian too just fill out this form right here.
The team is working hard to keep all your Community Ideas updated so keep an eye on the board for more news.
Have a great October everyone, and we'll see you back here the first week of November.
Do thes two topics really need Kudos ? I thought they already were in progress
6. Your Music: Add and Remove Content Separately (Artist, Album, Songs).
-This as an improvement to My Music in the "Bring back the Starred Playlist" thread. http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Bring-Back-Starred-Playlists-System/idc-p/753161#M4655...
7. Your Music: Should be availalbe on the iPad.

"Hi David! We're working on Your Music for the iPad at the moment. Hopefully we'll have an update soon /S"
Another topic that has a suprising "Good Idea, give it some kudos" status is "Spotify Connect For Desktop App". Reading through the thread it has already has started to roll out to some users.
Finally what happened to the promised update on the Chromecast topic. It has been a month now since it was mention in the post below.

So, do you folks just *not* have a view or report that will show you the most popular ideas?
Because you have:
1) A system for gathering ideas from your users
2) A system for your users to rate which ones are most important to them
You're just missing:
3) Leveraging 1 and 2.
Every month this dog and pony show appears, while you continue to ignore what your customers are so obviously and clearly telling you is important to them. You're posting about fixing requests with ~100 kudos while ignoring ideas that have 4k, 5k or even 6k votes.
Oh wait, you do have a view of what's most popular:
http://community.spotify.com/t5/ideas/v2/ideaexchangepage/blog-id/ideaexchange/tab/most-kudoed
So whenever you post one of these updates without acknowledging those ideas, you're basically telling your customers that you don't care what they think.
Big props to you guys highlighting how useless these monthly reviews are. I tried to get Spotify to actually, you know, treat the kudos system like it means something, but they closed the idea, despite tons of support: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Kudos-System-Update-for-User-Ideas/idi-p/892879
They apparently don't think this is a problem! And it's not, unless you like timely feedback and being treated like an actual human being.
Great job highlighting how the actual ideas they're looking for kudos on have already been implemented or confirmed, showing what a bunch of smoke and mirrors this whole support system is. Looks like they're trying to boost attention to items they already have in development to a) make it look like the ideas they've devoted resources on are user supported and b) boost the kudos numbers so it's not as embarrassing when a 50-kudos idea goes through and a 6,000+ kudos idea languishes.
So is Spotify going to return to respond why they keep this up when it's been proven to be entirely concocted as essentially a press release (i.e., highlighting only the barely supported ideas you've managed to implement and promoting ones you're already developing, ignoring the actual ideas people care about) and has nothing to do with community interaction?
Or will we be ignored like most other issues?
I strongly urge everyone NOT to give kudos to the ideas marked "Good idea, give it some kudos", as Spotify don't really bother answering ideas no matter how many kudos, and your time is better spent somewhere else than on the idea forum (seeing as Spotify apparently believe that their time is):
