VOLUME NORMALIZATION FOR ANDROID PHONES!!!

Status: Duplicate Idea
by Histenchist on ‎27-03-2012 10:05 PM

I didn't know if I should've put this on Mobile - Android forums instead and classify it as a bug, because that what it is!

Why don't we have it yet? What do we have to do to get it? Why won't you answer this question? Are you aware that it is a potential health risk? Will you buy me a hearing aid? Should I keep subscribing to spotify?

Seconding this. It's horrible. The lowest volume on my ZTE Blade is still far too loud. I don't see where the problem is in adding a simple volume control to the app.

I completely agree! However, I do not think this is a problem specific to Spotify. I don't believe there are any Android apps that provide dynamic normalization. Does any one know of any??

I wish the volume on my HTC Sensation was too loud I could at least listen to it from the otherside of the room instead of having to hold it up to my ear!!!!!

Please fix this issue as it is barely usable for me at the moment.

I support this idea.

This is big problem for me when I need to use volume too often to keep music playing in reasonable volume.

@Premify

You seem to have either misunderstood my post or the one you linked, my bitching is simply about wanting to have volume normalization on android while the purpose of the duplicated idea is from what I understand about expanding volume normalization on computers. So please don't merge these two ideas, if you do it you will simply hide my idea... Not that it would matter since it seems that the developers never read what people write in this community anyways.

Hey Histenchist!

Thanks for the feedback! As you might have noticed we are currently trying to clean the ideas section up a bit to get an overview over the actual number of ideas, which will also help the users.

If you check out the tags on that other idea, "mobile" is also mentioned. I think that idea addresses the issue of volume normalization on all platforms in general. In my opinion it's better to have 1 big general idea where all kudos and posts are centered than a lot small ideas for each platform. This said, once the moderators find the time, they will merge all ideas that I've tagged as duplicate, so your input will not be lost!

However, if you strictly disagree with that, let me know! I will change back the status to "new idea" then. ;)

Thank you for the answer, although I would argue that the other thread may not present this idea the best, it's "your" forum and you do whatever you think will work the best :)

Hi Histenchist!

You're right. I've changed the duplicate link to this idea that clearly addresses the need for volume normalization for mobile apps. ;)
