I have big playlists, and would like a built in way to prevent duplicates from occuring in my playlists.  This could be an option to prevent, or select/hide duplicates.

Yeah that would be really helpfull, I often add songs I've already got in my playlist^^

Definitely would save me some time. I'm surprised this type of function wasn't implemented immediately since iTunes seemed to have done it right away.

Hi,

Can someone from the Spotify team answers us ?

This request was made for a very long time now ...

We need to know quickly if a song is already on our playlist when browsing the spotify catalog.

It's just simple as that.

For me and for a lot of users, it's the most inportant request !!!!!

It's a shame that it was not already integrate ...

Id like to be able to prevent from ever adding duplicates...put a little colored dot on those that are on some playlist and give each list a different color...so you even see on which list those songs are on...or a number with a color if you have too many playlists..and a warning if adding a duplicate that you can put on/off from settings...or something similar... almost every friend that i have asked about the thing have the same problem. :-)

as i am waiting for this feature for so long already i would like to support this thread so that hopefully spotify staff realizes, how much demand is for this option :)

for me this is a real must have.. i would like to just drag some newly starred tracks onto playlists without having to sort which songs i have already previously added. when i browse through artists i often hear songs that i haven't heard for a long time and wonder if they are in my playlists. simply adding it to a playlist (to make sure - but not to duplicate) or a visual info (which songs are in which playlists) would do the trick. for example colour the star in a different way or outline it if this song is not just starred but also in a playlist. on rightclick - add to playlist i can then see in which playlists it already is or add it to another playlist...

i really hope that this feature will soon be implemented. with so many paying customers out there demanding for such a quick and easy thing i could't think of a reason why not :)

Clarification/Additional Problem: When listening to Radio and a song you have already starred comes up, the song that is being played in the radio is not starred (even if it is the EXACT SAME release) should you then like that song in radio (or evn star it again) you will have two copies of the same song (thus higher probability of being played when ranfomized) in the library.
