Just signed up and this is the first (and only so far) issue that I've hit using Spotify.
Please improve the software to provide a solution to make Spotify usable on a living room TV and I'll gladly subscribe to the service,
Also providing some community feedback in this community section would help.
I really hope this gets implemented. My brother is near sighted and cannot use the htpc in the living room without sitting really really close. So the only way for him to use Spotify on the HTPC is by his laptop and log in to VNC (which uses laptop-resolution). Thats the only way he gets a low enough resolution for Spotify.
Still waiting for Font Size change abd window colour. . . . What does it take? So much money from people like me waiting to upgrade going begging? At least Spotify can't be motivated by money! (LOL!)
Hello folks,
First at all, really sorry for the delay on updating this idea, we have a lot of them coming in every day so sometimes it takes time and we also have to prioritize. Hope you can all understand.
We are going to mark this as "Case closed". At the moment it does not really fit out our design philosophy. However we might come back to it in the future, so keep an eye on the updates.
Thanks a lot for your contribution and ideas, we really appreciate it :)
My dad uses his computer via a product that can magnify the screen (ZoomText), so the size of the fonts it not as big a deal - but he has his screen set to high-contrast, white on black. When we start the Spotify client app, text fields end up as black-on-black, which makes those fields completely unreadable.
Would this be something that could be fixed? I don't think it would be against your design philosophy to just play nice with the screen's color palette/contrast settings?
Thank you!
Moises
Let me guess, when you say "doesn't fit with our design philosophy" do you mean to say:
"we want living-room users to spring for a spotify-enabled device and pay for premium in order to get a true 10-ft interface" ?
I think that's the clarification they were thinking of but just wanted didn't want to sound so greedy.
Please prove me wrong. Spotify design philosphy seems to be to copy itunes anyways, and they can adjust font size, (small and large...) other than money, what's a good reason?
I couldn't agree more with everyone else, this microfont is rediculous! This has to be my biggest complaint with spotify and as other users have said, it's one of the major reasons I haven't upgraded to a premium account yet.
