I have noticed an increase in posts recently relating to people who wish to deactivate their Facebook accounts, but if they do so they will also loose access to their Spotify account, since it was created using their Facebook details.
There should be an easy way to change your Spotify account, from a Spotify account which is tied to Facebook, to a Spotify (email only) account without the need to go through the quite long process outlined in my tutorial here.
This relates quite closely to being able to change your username idea, but I think this is different issue!
Please please please implement this!

Currently when you share a playlist to Facebook/Twitter, it shows in your activity feed (and that of your followers) like below:
The numbers shown, in this case "5" and "11" correspond to the number of followers the playlist has, although that is made in no way clear when you view the Activity feed. Since it is not possible to view all of the playlist followers anyway (clicking the number does nothing) I think it would make much more sense to display the date/time that the playlist was last updated.
Something like:

I don't require all my Facebook contacts to share the same musical taste. Currently have one 24/7 sounddrop user friend with deplorable musical taste who is flooding the Spotify social list to the point I can't see what anyone else is listening to. It would be so nice to be able to ignore him.
I like the fact that my Spotify and Facebook accounts are linked. However, I would prefer it if Facebook didn't notify my friends each time I update a playlist on Spotify.
Even when I only have 'Listened To' ticked (and have 'Playlists Created', 'Top Artists' etc. unticked), Facebook still puts each time I update a playlist on my timeline.
I have been able to get around this by manually ticking 'Hidden from timeline' each time I update a playlist. But this is time consuming for me (because I update my playlists often).
Can there be a new option for 'Playlists updated' which can be either ticked or unticked?
The Web Player is a lot like the Desktop Player, but it's missing the option to share the track or album on Facebook or Twitter.
Please add this to the Web Player.
Please allow us to create a spotify username and password and link it with out facebook login information so that we can login with either option. I prefer to use my facebook credentials, but facebook is blocked on my works WiFi so while I am there, it would be easier if I could use the spotify credentials until I am home again then go back to using facebook. Thanks!
Because people can not be sure right now if they will like the genre of music they will hear when they push the play button they probably push it less.
Maybe some people even compare the added music as spam if they do not know what it is.
Thanks so much to everyone!
At the moment, we're unable to implement the idea suggested above for a few reasons. As a few of you have noticed, our system currently doesn't support the changing of usernames since playlists are tied to usernames. Many folks who created accounts via Facebook before we implemented an email registration option would like the option to "transfer" their account to another.
You can indeed follow the instructions in Peter's aforementioned guide to transfer your account. Moreover, we understand the want for a simpler way to move to an email created an account instead of a Facebook created account. However, we won't implement an option to "transfer" your account at this time.
If you have any questions about how to transfer your account, follow Peter's guide for the quick fix or contact customer support.
