Spotify Ideas

New Idea

Please enable a way to:

- View artists you are following

- View friends you are following

Seperately.

You differentiate between them with the "√ARTIST" like here:

http://s7.postimg.org/skde91mnf/Spotify_Following.jpg

Why not simply make that a button to view only artists?

It's a shame such a great music application cannot simply allow one to view the Artists they are following...

Hey! :) This idea is a duplicate of: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Separate-Artists-and-Friends-in-the-quot-Following-quo... since they essentially suggest the same feature be added. Please add your kudos and comments there :) ~ Peter

When I search for songs in library, I don't know where the song are saved. And when I search for songs there is no way of knowing if you've already have that song, unless you check every playlist by filtering...

Also, not all songs appear when I search for it. Why? When I filter the playlist it comes up, but not in library filter. I think I have found this problem in a playlist search also, but I'm not sure.

This problem appear with collaborative playlists as well as normal playlists. Library should list everything, even if it's from subrscribed plalists.

A third problem I've found is that when you press the album cover (playing now) and you queued the song, you are redirected to library rather than the playlist. This would be fine as long as I knew where the song came from.

This idea has already been suggested here:

Add your kudos there please - the existing kudos here will be added soon! ;)

Possibility to filter search results with Ipad.

To filter or search within search results, let˚s say to search a song after having searched the artist, you rely on short cuts of the operating systems (e.g. Mac OS X: cmd + f).

That doesn˚t work for the Ipad. Consequently I have to scroll through all tracks of an artist I just found via the search function in order to find a specific track. The same applies naturally if you search for other entities like albums etc… and want to filter your results afterwards.

Can you please find a solution for that since the status quo is very uncomfortable and the desktop interface already offers this feature.

Thanks.

Is there a way to do this? if not could spotify implement it? And if that's not possible, does the API include hooks for an app to do it?

Filter Search of Key Words by Song Title

Status: New Idea
by SmooothPierre on ‎24-07-2012 04:19 AM

A great way top listen to Spotify and discover new music is to just type in a key word, search for it and play all the songs that contain that word. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a way to do this by song title only, as you end up with artists and albums that also contain this key word.

Please consider adding such a filter.

Many thanks for listening!

Search scans Notes section of file info.

I listen to a lot of foreign music. I prefer not to change the tags to Romanized versions of the songs or, more importantly, musicians, so as to properly scrobble on Last.fm. On Winamp, I can easily edit the Notes section of a song's metadata and the results of a search will include matches of this data. However, this is not the case here. This makes it very difficult for me to use Spotify as a local player as scrolling through my ~400 locally stored albums isn't really an option, and I would rather not constantly switch between Winamp and Spotify. So, I propose the idea that Spotify local filter results also filter songs by their Notes metadata.
