Some of my playlists are albums, which I like to listen to in the order in which the tracks are laid out - this is particularly important in some concept albums or soundtracks.
Some of my playlists are very large random collections of songs, which I like to be shuffled.
I'd like the shuffle setting to be saved for each playlist - so I can have my soundtracks played in order, but still get my other collections shuffled.
I have a lot of long playlists that I like to listen to on random. However, playing a playlist on random adds the songs to the queue in a non-editable manner. There are times when I would like to move a song, like when it is a two part song, and times when I would just like to delete a song from the queue but not necessarily the playlist.
The two main solutions in my mind would be
1) making the non-manually-queued queue items moveable
2) being able to manually queue a selection in a random order
Dear Spotify,
I use your program every single day and I'm super pleased with the functionality and the program overall.
There is just one thing missing. Every single Playlist always looks the same way, the sorting function is good, like all other music programs you can sort it by artist name, song name etc.
Spotify is no ordinary music program and should stand out from the crown with a new, awesome, groundbreaking button in the playlist section called SCRAMBLE. When the button is pressed there will be no explosions, free margaritas or rabbits jumping out of a wizards hat. What it will do is to Randomize the entire playlist, no more, no less.
Please add this button, it would put a smile on my face to see and listen to my music in a new order!
P.S Make the button RED for maximum awesomeness, the appeal to press the button will be unbearable (this is a joke) D.S
One of the things I love about Spotify is how it helps discover artists and music.
How about a feature where you allocate an amount of storage (for offline scenarios) and get Spotify to literally pick random tracks from everything available and make them available for offline play.
A real 'lucky dip' feature and bound to come up with something you like once in a while!
It will be awesome to have a random stoping mode to have some parties & games.
