Implement a way to transfer from a Spotify account created using Facebook to a Spotify only account

I have noticed an increase in posts recently relating to people who wish to deactivate their Facebook accounts, but if they do so they will also loose access to their Spotify account, since it was created using their Facebook details.

There should be an easy way to change your Spotify account, from a Spotify account which is tied to Facebook, to a Spotify (email only) account without the need to go through the quite long process outlined in my tutorial here.

This relates quite closely to being able to change your username idea, but I think this is different issue!

Please please please implement this!

At the moment, we're unable to implement the idea suggested above for a few reasons. As a few of you have noticed, our system currently doesn't support the changing of usernames since playlists are tied to usernames. Many folks who created accounts via Facebook before we implemented an email registration option would like the option to "transfer" their account to another.

You can indeed follow the instructions in Peter's aforementioned guide to transfer your account. Moreover, we understand the want for a simpler way to move to an email created an account instead of a Facebook created account. However, we won't implement an option to "transfer" your account at this time.

If you have any questions about how to transfer your account, follow Peter's guide for the quick fix or contact customer support.

Spotify for Android should auto resume automatically when A2DP (Bluetooth) connection is establisehd

Currently:

Everytime my phone connects to bluetooth and I want to listen my music, I have to start spotify manually, go to the playlist and select a song and push play.

Wish:

Like other apps (PowerAMP) it would be great, if spotify automatically resumes playing when BT A2DP connection was established.

Global HotKey for Pause/Play,Next Song, etc.

It would be nice to have an Global Hotkey so you can pause/play your music while browsing and not switching between screens. Or when you are gaming and you want another song but you don't want to alt tab and stay idle, a (customizable?) Global Hotkey(i.g. ctrl+shift+right) would be such an great improvement in the usefulness of Spotify.

Release a ICS beta Spotify

Ok so I release Spotify obviously wont want to give us a formal estimate of when the new app will be out. I understand that companies don't want to make promises they cannot keep, and saying they only want to release it when it is right is spot on.

On the other hand Spotify just doesn't work for ICS Android users. Previously Spotify have released a number of experimental and beta builds. So how about it Spotify? Get us an ICS compatible experimental beta and then all of us whingers on the Android forums can actually help by providing feedback.

And if it doesn't work well? Who cares as it doesn't work for us now anyway!

Let people "tune in" to someone else's radio, and sync the playhead

When one of your friends is listening to Spotify Radio, it would be really cool if you could "tune in" to their station and listen to the same things they are. It could even go so far as to sync the playhead so that you're listening to the same thing at the same time.

Sort of like Soundrop without the democracy. :)

Spotify for Android should remember last played song after restart of app

Current State:

Currently the Android App forgets the last played song after several hours not using spotify.

Seems when it looses internet connection it forgets the song. ("Internet connection lost" message shown and the marking of the current song disappeared).

Wish:

Spotify should save which song of which playlist has been played recently. So after startup of spotify the - one - last played song - should be marked. And a simple tap on "play" should resume the song.

Note:

On iPhone this feature already seems to be available.

Notification Center - Mountain Lion

Would be nice to see Spotify supporting Notification Center in Mountain Lion. Majority of Mac users have already updated to Mountain Lion as well so it's not a minority.

Basically every song that start playing would show a notification like the Growl counterpart that already exists in Spotify.

Hey there, I'm very sorry to say this, but I'm really disappointed for now with your Community.

All I can say, can you employ someone to read / answer those ideas. I have popular idea about cover and karaoke bands with 200 Kudos soon and there is no idea status change since first day of my idea. I'm asked why this from Customer service and they told me they are working for answer / status change to my idea. Now please say for how long?

I no0ticed this in many ideas. There is much Kudos and more disappointed users, but Spotify is not updating statuses or even commenting ideas. This is very bad thing in Community. Spotify, comment and realise those problems in your service. I'm not happy with this Community for now. I'm really sorry to say this, but you don't have power to make satisifed users in Community.

I would write this in Private are for Community founders and staff, but I want that this problem is noticed soon by all folks. So I post it here. Sorry for that, Spotify. Implement your community now.

We are doing our best here and we are a few people already working on this....we know it takes long till we update all the ideas but we are improving our process. The ideas section is quite tricky but we are improving day by day.

TuneWiki and musiXmatch lyrics scan and sync for iPhone Spotify

It would be great to be able to scan our Spotify collections through Tunewiki or musiXmatch or even click to access the lyrics like you can on the computer. As far as I can see, this is not possible on my iPhone 4S despite having Spotify Premium and both lyrics apps. Then the lyrics could be synced like they are on the computer. MusiXmatch seems to scan your music library but as I only use Spotify, this is no good. Please try to sort this out, Spotify! Then we'll love you even more than we already do! xxx

Free demo songs to promote aspiring artists

I suggest there would be a possibly for artists and label to have a set of free songs, which can be streamed and downloaded a unlimited number of times for free for all kikd of users. It would be a great way to promote Spotify and scoit new artists on the service.
