Won't play music on only my school chromebook

My Question or Issue

whenever I try to use Spotify on only my school chromebook I get the same error everytime, I will attach a photo. I asked my school's IT department and I got a response on thursday

"I sent this info to our tech department and just got a response. I was thinking our new filter was maybe causing you some issues, but they said spotify and pandora are still supposed to work. I think this is maybe a problem on your end. Hope it starts working soon, if it hasn't already."

Please help me fix this.

Could you try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser?

Does a different account on the same device behave the same?

Are you able to connect the Chromebook to a different network and try again?

I did everything you told me to do using 3 different wifi networks my house, at school, and my tablet USB tethering. The only thing I can ever get to play is advertisements on the non premium account.

Thanks for getting back to us.

If you're still having issues, it's best to consult with your school's IT department again and let them know that you're unable to play Spotify. We can confirm that there shouldn't be any issues on our end.

So, today I logged on spotify and it starts playing the music I haven't talked to my schools IT department yet so I don't know if they did something or if magicly started working.

The past few days my spotify on my school chromebook wasen't working. I did every restarting, everything is up to date, like everything. It was working perfectly fine before but suddenly it just decided to stop working. like the bottom bar buttons don't work, when you hover over the cursor has its hand clutched and with a red little sign that is showing I can't press it. Its so weird and I really need spotify to focus on studies badly. I need help asap

Why does Spotify randomly stop my music on Chromebook, and how do I fix it?

Whenever I try to listen to music on my Chromebook, the playback will randomly stop and cut to the next song in queue (not playing the song), then show the "Spotify can't play this right now" error message, preventing me from playing other songs unless I reload the page. The site itself stops working as well, not allowing me to open playlists, albums, and podcasts, and showing the "Problem loading page" error, where the library section is located.

This problem also seems to be a device issue, as it still persisted even when I used a different account. Is there any way for me to fix this?

P.S.: The Chromebook i'm using is owned by my school board district, and uses ChromeOS.
