My Question or Issue

I’ve read that there is a karaoke feature in Spotify. Unfortunately if I look into the lyrics I can’t find the mic symbol to start the karaoke mode. I guess the feature isn’t available everywhere. Why and when will it happen 😫

For me it would be a key feature.
as much as I like Spotify I’ve researched that competitors have this function available already.

Hi there @Michel83x,

Thanks for reaching out. Besides some limited releases in a few select regions, there's currently no globally available karaoke feature. There is a live idea requesting this here, so consider adding your vote to it and sharing it around to help it gain traction. The more votes it gets, the more likely it is to be taken into consideration.

I've been intently following this feature for over a year, what's the delay? You can't send out press releases and then act like it's no longer even on the roadmap. Let's get on this one. This would easily be the best thing you could do for your app right now.

I've been looking forward karaoke mode since it was announced like 2 years ago... i have updated the app religiously hoping to get the karaoke feature...
Instead Spotify is shoving the smart random in my throat even though i don' want it...
It feels like: Hey! look at this awesome new feature that will be available to you soon!! Naaaah just joking we won't do it so though luck buddy.
It sucks and its not good customer service. Alos i must say that the random plainly suck now... it will always throw the songs in the same order and i have to empty my cache like every damn day...
I'm tempted to switch to apple for this...

I am also looking for the Karaoke. I will switch back to basic not paying for premium
