there aren't supposed to be any ads if you're paying for premium, no idea, take this to customer support.

While Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages. This might be the reason why you're still hearing ads on podcasts.

If this is not the case and you're hearing ads while playing music, we'd recommend adding your report to this thread so that we can look further into this.

Quem paga Spotify premium, não quer ouvir anúncio! Seja na música ou em podcast. Dizer que os podcasters que colocam anúncio e que a Spotify não tem nada haver, é ridículo, pois a plataforma é de vocês. Sinceramente não vejo mais benefício em assinar o plano, pois imagina estar compenetrada em um episódio e do nada ouvir um anúncio? Ridículo. O anúncio deveria ser permitido somente para quem não possui plano. Insatisfeita é pouco para descrever.

Hi!

I am too having hearing ads play before, in the middle and at the end of a podcast episode. I have a premium account and the thing is I have listened to podcasts for a while and this just started to happen. I am hearing ads in Portuguese in the middle of my Spanish speaking podcast (that I have listened before and never had ads until now).
what is up with that? Please help

Hi Japilú,

Very sorry to hear that we have the same issue. I have been informed multiple times by Spotify that the premium "ad-free" experience only covers the music side of Spotify, and if you're on a premium plan and trying to get an ad-free podcast experience? You will need to find that experience elsewhere - you could try Apple's platform or YouTube Premium. I have heard good things about YT Premium. Spotify advocates for the monetization of the content creators, and not so much their subscribers.

We pay premium for content with no interruption. Also, I don't think the creators receive 100% of the adds profit. So the "help creators" does not convince me.

This should be ilegal. I paid premium for not having interruptions.

As pessoas não assinam pela "experiência spotify", mas para entretenimento, de preferência em paz, sem uma marca interrompendo. Talvez não valha mais a pena.
