Discover Weekly Covers & Names disappeared

My Question or Issue

Recently the Covers and names of my Friends Discover Weekly Playlist were removed.

We share each other's Discover Weekly Playlist to check out each other's taste in music so to speak. Since the recent update all information regarding each other's Discover Weekly playlists disappeared, which makes it very hard to keep track of which friends Playlist has already been listened to.

Is there a reason for the disappearance of the cover image and name?

My Question or Issue :

I've saved the various "discoveries of the week" of my friends.

I used to be able to recognize them thanks to the thumbnail of the facebook photo displayed on the playlist + the friend's name below the "designed for..." description, but since a few days I no longer have these 2 pieces of information. And all my friends' playlists are undifferentiated...

It's frustrating. Is this a bug?

having the same issue and pretty frustrated about it. a few months ago they removed the ability to even see how many followers your discover weekly had, which i shrugged off, but spotify's commitment to slashing all their most valuable social features (in favor of useless "share to social media" screens on wrapped and playlists) is infuriating. it's so useful to people who actually enjoy music to see what their friends are listening to and tap into a variety of different recommendations.... unsure what spotify's doing with this.

Thanks for reaching out. Is this the same across all devices, including the webplayer? If you haven't tested this, please do so and let us know how it goes. Send us some screenshots from other devices too so we can compare. Does this also happen with any other playlists being shared or only with that one?

unfortunately it is the same across all devices, i tried removing the playlists and adding them back to my library, yet still no change. It seems that no other playlists are affected as of now.

as promised the screenshots from the desktop app and webplayer.

Hi Joan,

The name and the picture (icon) of the shared Discover Weekly also
disappeared in the webplayer on https://open.spotify.com/.
