Songs keep switching to video mode when I only want to listen to them

I pressed the switch to video button and then moved back but now songs default on the video view when I don’t want it to. How do I stop this from happening?

I have the opposite problem. I want to keep seeing videos but Spotify reverts to audio-only after every song.

I also want to be able to toggle this, its annoying having to click the smallest ever piece of text I've ever seen.to keep showing videos on supported tracks 😣

Spotify automatically chooses video mode when I'm streaming to Chromecast. I don't even have a display attached, I just want to listen to the music. Very annoying!!!

The Video Stutters very Bad the Music stopps until Video goes on. Video Mode starts although i choose Music Mode. All on TV. In this case Music listening is very Bad!!!

What about letting the customer decide if they want the default to be audio or video? Or they don’t mind/switch. I want audio. Just audio. No video at all. But every time I turn it on video is the default. Give us the choice.

Currently trying to listen to music and constantly getting songs switch to video mode. There is an obvious audio quality difference when playing through videos - obvious different audio tracks.

This is a dealbreaker – I am trying to listen to records, but video masters are being forcibly delivered to my device (mobile).

"Got it, we'll only play audio from now on", but it doesn't. I see 2 different behaviours (neither correct):

Roku stick: reverts to video when app reloaded

Android TV: reverts to video regardless when next song loads

Hej Spotify please create a button for no auto play for videos for tv. It’s really annoying when you want to listen to music and a video plays with for example an into talk. It’s plays automatically videos when you start a music list I just want to listen to music!

Same behaviour with me on a Fire TV Cube. If I switch to "play only Audio" on FireTV it simply forgets this setting with the next start of Spotify on the Fire TV. This is really annoying!

I'm still having this problem. It is really annoying because I use my Firestick as the Spotify platform connected to my sound system. I just want to listen to the music, I don't want to watch the video. And I have to keep clicking the "Play audio" button EVERY TIME. Please look into this.

How do we turn video off permanently? I don't want it on, ever. At the moment, I turn it off, and it seems to just turn itself back on whenever it wants to. This is using both Spotify through my Android TV, also via on my phone app (Samsung S24) onto the same TV. Painful and very distracting when it just suddenly starts playing videos - especially annoying when you have guests round.
