How to block a show

This is a minor issue, but why is when I listen to a new podcast episode, the I listen to while falling asleep, when the episode end it AWAYS automatically goes to another podcast about telling horror stories! I literally woke up in the middle of the night and had to hear about a skin walker demons was stalking someone. Please, I don't want to listen to horror wille trying to sleep. Thank you.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you might have Autoplay toggled on - the feature generates a new queue of episodes/music when the current one ends so that the playback doesn't stop. To prevent this from happening again you can turn it off by following the steps here.

As for blocking podcasts, this isn't possible at the moment, but there's a live idea on the topic which I'm sure you'll find interesting, so feel free to check it out and show your support!

Absolutely 100% please do this. I don’t want Steven Bartlett or Joe Rogan anywhere near me. Spotify is possibly my favourite ever digital product but having DOAC constantly pushed to the top of my feed always puts a dampener on my day 😞

To be quite frank with everyone here, I don't think Spotify cares about their userbase. This issue has existed for over three years according to Reddit, X, Instagram and Facebook. It's literally a simple "if [Channel ID] matches [item in Block List], don't play channel" solution... I could probably implement this feature into a public build in like not even 3 hours.

But they don't want to do it. Fun fact is I complained about this issue to Spotify support and after getting bounced back and forth between associates they essentially closed my ticket without doing anything.

We want autoplay, we don’t want propaganda forced upon us. You people know what you’re doing. Stop being greedy and give us what we’ve been asking for for years.

My 5y/o is forced to use my Spotify account because the Spotify Kids app is horrendously designed, embarrassingly so for a company of such high caliber product, UX, and engineers. Since we can’t reliably use the Kids app, and can’t block specific content from my primary premium account, I will cancel due to negligence and greed.
