Amazon Fire TV queries/issues

Hi all,

I recently purchased an Amazon Fire TV, mainly to use it as a Spotify connect device connected to my AV Reciever. It seems to work pretty well when using the iOS Spotify App to control it on my iPhone 6 but I have a few questions/issues regarding it:

For some reason I have to choose the Fire TV device twice before the music will play on the Amazon TV from my iPhone. Do other people experience this and is there a fix/update in the works?
I can't seem to control the volume of the Fire TV device via the iPhone App, if I use my Desktop PC as the Spotify connect device and control it via my iPhone I can control the volume. Do other people experience this and is there a fix/update in the works?
What music quality should I be getting via the Fire TV? If my iPhone is set to Extreme will the Fire TV automatically be getting this quality as well?
