Brief description of the issue: Folders created in the player.spotify.com webplayer do not load properly. They are named Loading... and I cannot open them nor delete them. Because of these corrupted folders, when I try to open Spotify for Android it crashes after trying to load my playlists. A solution would be if somehow the corrupted folders could be deleted.

EDIT: Let me note, this is not the usual play.spotify.com webplayer. I have player.spotify.com, which has entirely different layout and functions.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

I have created a folder named Artist and Genre

Placed some of my playlists under/in it

When later refreshing the webplayer page it showed the folder name as Loading...

What steps you’ve tried already: I have tried deleting the folders and checked from different browsers as well. Tried moving the folders and playlists around, but that just further escalated the problem. Now I have a folder named Loading..., under that a folder named Artist, under that another Loading.. and under that Genre.

Your device and operating system: A desktop PC, Windows 7

Type of Spotify account you have: Premium

The app version of Spotify you’re using: player.spotify.com and latest version of Spotify for Android.

Any screenshots, if they can help to explain your issue:

Hi @zsomborlaposi, Welcome to the community!

First thing you could try is to log out on all devices, that option can be found here.

After that, you should try and see if a clean install fixes that loading issue. To do that, follow the steps below:

Note: After deleting the client, make sure there are no files left in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify before installing it again!

Windows 7 or Vista:

Click File > Exit.

Click Start then select Control Panel.

Click Programs then Programs and Features.

Select Spotify in the list and click Uninstall.

Go to http://www.spotify.com/download and reinstall Spotify.

Windows XP:
Click File > Exit.
Click Start then select Control Panel.
Open Add/Remove Programs, select Spotify, then Change/Remove.
Go to http://www.spotify.com/download and reinstall Spotify.

Hey there,

First of all, thank you for the reply 🙂

I have tried the log out all devices via the page you linked but despite clicking on the button, it did not log any of my platforms out. Tried several times from different browsers, it's not working. Logged out separately from each platform manually, and logged back again afterward. But the issue is still present unfortunately. Tried cache and cookie clear as well, even from a clean new browser but no avail. The bugged folders are still there.

Regarding the re-installation: let me note again, this is not the standalone Spotify Player software, it is the player.spotify.com Webplayer.

You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
