Hey @hqrd

Seems like it's no longer accessible indeed. Already tried reinstalling the user-agent, tried another one as well.

open.spotify.com is the newer player, it doesn't use flash like the other one does. So in the sense of security it's possibly a wise idea to use the new player, because Flash is, you know, vulnerable and also increasingly unsupported due to that.
So it makes sense that Spotify wants us to use the new player.

The main thing the new player lacks is the queue app (eternal sadness...), but it actually has the radio functionality.

Hello,

I know it's not the first thread about this redirection issue but the solutions aren't working anymore.

I've had this issue for a while now on my Chrome web browser, and it was resolved using the pluggin UA-Switcher simulating the page into an IE10 browser.

But this doesn't work anymore and I can't connect to play.spotify.com at all on any browser.

Is this intended ? Play.spotify has so much more functionnalites and it's sad to get redirected to this other app. An explanation from a Spotify staff would be appreciated. 🙂

Thanks for your help.

Withouth the queue function I don't see myself using Spotify anymore which is why I also have been using an UA-spoofer since I got unwillingly upgraded to open.spotify.com. Now I guess I will have to start paying for a competitor who lets me still queue songs in the webplayer instead.

I have to agree, that was the main selling point of using the web player. One by one the features I liked, enjoyed, and frequently used were all eliminated. RIP play.spotify it was good while it lasted.
