[Android] Spotify app trouble syncing

My Question or Issue

Lately I've noticed that the Spotify app has been having trouble syncing up with other devices--my Google Home mini as well as my car's (Honda) bluetooth. The app will at times not recognize that my Google Home mini is playing music from Spotify, and will be allowed to play music without regard of what is already playing on the GH mini--until I restart the app on my phone.

Even more recently I've noticed that if the Spotify app is running in the background of my Android, when I use my car's controls to switch tracks the Spotfiy app will not respond to that command until I bring the app back to the foreground or control from my phone again.

In the past this has always worked and nothing has changed with my car or my GH mini. Thanks!

That doesn't sound cool.

Have you tried reinstalling your android app? If not here's a step by step tutorial.
