Playing local music files on HEOS speaker

My Question or Issue

When I want to play an album I downloaded as a local file on my phone, via a connected speaker I get the following notification on my phone: 'cannot play this content while connected to another device.'

How can I solve this?

That doesn't sound cool.

Is there any other device of you that has local files synced on it and could interfere with Spotify Connect? And be sure to restart the app and the speaker to see if that helps. ^^

Thanks for your reply! The answer to your question is no, there is no other device interfering.
The thing is, the album does play on my phone but when this same phone is connected to the speaker it won't play, saying: 'cannot play this content while connected to another device.'

I just don't know what other device it could be ... other than my phone ....

Thanks for getting in touch!

You can use Spotify Connect to stream music from Spotify. You won't be able to stream local files via Spotify Connect. This happens because the Spotify Connect compatible device connects to the internet by itself.
