No related artists showing even though there is Echonest data

I heard that Spotify uses echonest to get related artists (as seen on the front page of echonest.com).

I used their API to query our band name:

http://developer.echonest.com/api/v4/artist/similar?api_key=FILDTEOIK2HBORODV&name=Sannhet

There are good results, yet there are no related artists showing in Spotify.

What needs to happen to fix this?

How long has your content been on Spotify for?

I always "assumed" possibly wrongly that the related artist data came from track listens inside Spotify hence why that data sometimes takes a while to be generated.

We've been on Spotify since 2011, though our latest album came out in March of this year.
