Spotify Connect "same wifi" ?

Hi,

In the guide for about Spotify Connect, when you say "same wifi", you mean same network right ?

Yup, normally the same WiFi network.

But i mean, if I have a AV receiver linked to a router with a cable and a phone on the same router but via wifi, it will work right ?

I cannot comment as I do not have the same HW to be able to test. But I'm pretty much 100% sure that it will work as long as you are going through the same router then the mode of connection should not make a difference.

So in my opinion, yes your scenario should work.

I am almost sure too. It will be pretty stupid if not.

Anyway, thanks for answers, I will test that when I will receive my AV Receiver and when Yamaha will update the firmware (that's a lot of conditions !)

I do wonder about this since if you are trying to sync local files to a mobile device, both the comptuer and the phone have to be on the same WiFi network and both connected Wirelessly.

Will be interesting to test if anyone has the hardware.

Just to let know it is working.

For the record, I have a AV receiver connected with a RJ45 cable to a wifi router, and a phone connected wirelessly to this same router.

Great. Thanks for remembering to post back with results. Definately helps me assured that I want the Yamaha when I can get the funds together.
