API URI Play=True on Custom Playlists' Individual Tracks

So I've got this little project that creates, updates, and maintains quick name URLs for Spotify tracks..

It works like a charm if I enter a songs' track directly.. and even can point to songs in custom public playlists, but..

The songs in custom playlists don't start playing automatically like usual. It's stuck in some sort of connection protocol that doesn't make any sense to me. So I try using some of the standard API attributes such as:

"?play=True" Nope.. Why does this not work and is there anything else I can do to make it work?
Here's an example of what I'm doing:

Such a simple, stupid issue.. I would like for my users' experience to be as seamless and foolproof as possible.

Could you give us more context on your app? So you're saying that you can autoplay a link on a public playlist but not on a private/custom one?
