My Question or Issue

I want to control the running spotify instance from another program (steamVR), and on Linux, I can use D-Bus, on Mac, there's applescript support, but how do I do this on Windows?

I really want to revive this https://github.com/rrkpp/SpotifyOverlay

Welcome to the forum, @feitingen! We don't offer an SDK for the Windows desktop app yet. You might want to look at implementing the Web API, which can be used to control playback: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/player/
