Copy/Create Playlist from existing Playlist URL

I have a list of Spotify playlists in URL format. Such as:

https://open.spotify.com/user/xxxxx/playlist/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

They are playlists that other users have created. I would like to create my own playlist from each one, so that I can modify the contents. Is there an API call to create a playlist using one of these URLs as a starting point?

Get Playlist Items?

This won't work anymore for playlists from Spotify, so https://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx won't work.
