Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on a music-based multiplayer mobile game where Spotify-authenticated users can match with each other and compete in real-time to guess songs based on selected genres, artists, or playlists.

Think of it like a music quiz that runs on top of your favorite tracks. The concept is designed to create a fun and social music experience, especially for younger audiences (16–27), and is deeply integrated with Spotify for both authentication and content playback.

As I build this out using Spotify’s developer tools, I’ve run into a potential limitation regarding playback visibility in the Spotify client — which affects the overall user experience during gameplay.

I'm curious if:

There are any workarounds or sandbox-like modes for handling playback in a more controlled environment
Anyone has dealt with similar use cases involving synchronized or silent playback logic
It’s possible to explore deeper collaboration with the Spotify Developer or Partner teams for innovative projects like this
